excellent so yummy I added extra tsp of ginger powder to recipe and some ginger syrup to the cream when whipping and a few chopped up glaced ginger sprinkled on the ends before serving.

made these with a little trial and error with thickness and oven time we are there good recipe easy and makes alot even with the few first round fails. Very happy with the receipe - might up the ginger a bit apart from that great

Brandy snaps should be more like toffee with flour - this recipe just makes flat sugary biscuits.

Method
Cream butter and sugar,beat in golden syrup, sift in flour and ginger and mix together well.
Place 6 teasoonfuls at a time on an ungreased tray, spread mixture out. Bake at 180°C till brown (approx 8 minutes).
Curl around a broom handle to roll into brandy snap tube shape.

- ½ tsp finely grated lemon zest (optional)
