I love this recipe and so do my kids. The only thing we change is the malt biscuits to superfine.

Yummy but too sloppy to roll in balls so I added chopped nuts and cornflakes as didn't have anymore biscuits or coconut

Make it half a can of condensed milk and 50 g of butter and it will work out perfectly. But if that doesn't work I recommend more dried apricots or malt biscuits.

More like Lolly cake than apricot balls - in both taste & texture. Mix too sloppy to set into balls so misleading Recipe :( Won't be making again unless we want to make lolly cake.

I made a lot of adjustments. Used wine biscuits rather than malt, added a splash of brandy, and you must let the mix set in the fridge before rolling.

These apricot balls are a real hit with my family and I am making my 3rd lot since Xmas. Very easy and the I think the recipe is perfect, although I added more apricots. The malt biscuits were a 250gram pack and the mix was not sloppy. Thank you Flyer for a great recipe.
This is a very EASY recipe which doesn't need the oven, it just needs the ol' fridge to refrigerate. It is important to refrigerate the balls for 20-30 minutes as it does have an effect.
First get out a saucepan and turn on the stove top to just under medium. Set out a food processor.
Put butter, golden syrup and can of condensed milk in saucepan and reduce the heat to low so it can melt slowly.
Place malt biscuits in food processor and process until fine crumbs are formed.
With a spoon, slowly stir the butter, golden syrup and can of condensed milk until melted. Add the processed malt biscuits and apricots to the saucepan and mix together well.
Roll into small balls and roll in coconut. Lastly, refrigerate for for 20 - 30 minutes until set, then serve!
I love this recipe and so do my kids. The only thing we change is the malt biscuits to superfine.
