Method

1) In a small bowl beat the butter and sugar until light and fluffy
2) Add egg and beat again for another minute
3) Sift the flour into the creamed mixture and beat until you have a thick batter
4) Put a tablespoon of golden syrup into each coffee mug and pour the batter over the golden syrup evenly, they should come up half way on each mug
5) Now put one mug in the microwave for 2 min depending on your microwave but check every minute. You want a moist sponge texture. Repeat with second mug. Serve either, in the mug, or tip them upside down in a bowl and serve with cream.
