  • 1 cup water
  • 2 eggs
  • ½ teaspoon bicarbonate of soda
  • 1 ½ cups self-raising flour

Method

Place butter, cocoa, Chelsea White Sugar and water into a saucepan and bring to the boil, then cool.
Add remaining ingredients, mix well and pour mixture into a well greased and baking paper-lined round tin.
Bake in a 180C oven (160C fan forced) for 40-45 minutes or until cake springs back in the middle.
Cool for 5 minutes in pan, then cool on a cake rack.
