I don't think you need 1.25kg of sugar, 1 1/4 cups yes, and you didn't say not get any tomato seeds in the jam.mine looks bad, still very yummy.You might want to amend your recipe:)

Method
Skin the tomatoes by plunging first into boiling water, then into cold, when the skins should slip off very easily. Chop the tomatoes.
Warm the Chelsea White Sugar and add it to the tomatoes and passionfruit pulp in large saucepan. Heat gently, stirring until sugar is dissolved then boil rapidly for about an hour, or until jam jells when tested on a cold saucer.
