I made these today, did a double batch. Half with chopped roasted almonds and chocolate chips, and the other half with chocolate chips and a little bit of cocoa powder. So good. It’s a tacky mixture but they come out perfect!

Once all my ingredients were in it was rather sticky, I needed about an extra 1/2 cup of flour. They turned out okay and tasted great in the end.

I refrigerated the second batch before baking and found it so much easier to roll into small balls then press with a fork before baking. I also increased the flour by 1/2 cup and baked the biscuits for 20 mins on regular bake. (also added macadamia nuts and 200grams chocolate drops)
Preheat oven to 180°C bake. Line two large baking trays with baking paper.
Cream butter and Chelsea White Sugar until pale and fluffy. Add condensed milk and vanilla essence and beat until well incorporated.
Stir in flour, baking powder and salt until just combined. Mix in the chocolate chunks.
Roll tablespoons of mixture into balls and place on prepared trays. Press down with your hand to flatten slightly. Bake for 15 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy on the edges.
Sprinkle with sea salt, if desired. Leave to cool on trays for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
I made these today, did a double batch. Half with chopped roasted almonds and chocolate chips, and the other half with chocolate chips and a little bit of cocoa powder. So good. It’s a tacky mixture but they come out perfect!
