Mine was a flop, looked great in the oven but dropped down in the Middle to reveal uncooked mixture. Baked it in a 28 cm round tin. Slightly below centre in the oven . Any solutions ?CHELSEA: Hi there, it sounds like you needed to cook it for a little longer. We recommend testing the cake with a skewer to check if it is cooked in the middle or not.

Simple and easy recipe to feed the masses. Moist and delicious!
Line with baking paper a very large tin (equivalent to an oven roasting dish 33 x 23cm). Pre-heat oven to 180°C.
Beat butter and Chelsea Caster Sugar. Mix in eggs and Chelsea Golden Syrup.
Banana cake only: add bananas and mix well. Dissolve baking soda in milk. Add flour and milk mixture into the butter mixture and mix together until well combined and lump free.
Chocolate cake only: Sift together flour and cocoa. Dissolve baking soda in milk. Add dry ingredients and milk into the butter mixture and mix together until well combined and lump free.
Both: Pour batter into prepared cake tin and bake for 45-50 minutes or until cake comes away from the sides of the paper.
Wait 10 minutes before turning cake onto rack to cool.
When cold, ice with chocolate icing, sprinkle with coconut or chocolate sprinkles and serve.
