You can't beat a hot pudding on a chilly winter's night and this recipe makes it easy to indulge a little more often. Recipe club member Leanne said that it is so easy that kids could throw it together!

The measurements seemed off - 1 tablespoon of butter to 3/4 cup sugar doesn't “cream“ Usually you would use about 100gm (not approx 15gm) for an oven-baked recipe. I checked it after 7 minutes (other reviews indicated cooking time was off), and at 10 minutes. There was no change - top was still raw. Put it in for another 2 mins 30 seconds, and the top became spongy, rather than gluggy (900w microwave). I then let it sit for a few minutes before serving. As.others have said, is very sweet, and is not going to beat an oven baked self-saucing pudding, but it is a reasonable option when your oven is unavailable., approved=true, user_name=Tania, hs_createdate=1702249867353, rating_new__1_5_=3, id=11175361297}, {comment_text=This is my go to, self saucing recipe. This is my go to, self saucing recipe. I actually put it in the microwave for 7 mins and let it rest - next level !
Pudding Cream together 3/4 cup Chelsea White Sugar and 1 tbsp Tararua Butter in a mixing bowl. Add sifted Edmonds Standard Grade Flour and cocoa, followed by the Meadow Fresh Original Milk and Edmonds Baking Powder - mix until "globby".
Pour into a deep microwave proof bowl.
Sauce Mix Chelsea Soft Brown Sugar with the cocoa and scatter over top of globby pudding mix. Pour over the back of a spoon the boiled water and vanilla essence.
The recipe is all out of whack. Not enough butter and mixture is too dry. And way too sweet. Will not be making this again.
