Beautiful steamed pud. The amount of batter didn't look like very much but was surprised at how much it had risen. Used an old fashioned steamed pudding bowl.Did not have yoghurt so used sour cream instead (same amount as yoghurt). Very yum and turned out great.

Bewtiful! made it several times, cannot be faulted!!
Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time beating well after each addition. Sift flour, baking powder and soda together. Fold into creamed mixture.
Add yoghurt and first measure of golden syrup, mix well. Lightly grease a 4 cup capacity pudding bowl. Pour second measure of golden syrup into prepared bowl. Spoon batter on top.
Cover with lightly greased foil, secure with string. Steam or boil for 1 1/2 hours. Serve hot.
Delicious! I double the recipe and cook for 2 hours. Perfect every time.
