Here is an easy fudge recipe that is both no cook and easy, from our recipe club member Frances Cribb. It's rich and filling and makes a perfect dessert.

Personally I put the egg in just before removing from the heat and that worked for my mum in the 60's and me today. It's a simple, great recipe as you can adjust the sugar content!

My teacher used to make this for the class from time to time. I have been looking for the recipe ever since
Melt the butter and sugar together, then add the cocoa and the vanilla essence. Take off the heat and let cool. Add the egg and beat in well, then add crushed biscuits and press into a greased tin. Put in the fridge to set before slicing into squares.
