Try other fruit such as plums, peaches and pears; these work well combined with apples too.

If you love loads of crunchy topping, you can double the quantity (keep the amount of apples the same).

I recommend cutting the apples such smaller and into about 1-inch squares, but whatever works for you will work! Also adding stuff like Feijoas, Pears and Rhubarb really gives it a flavor kick and something extra special., approved=true, user_name=Moss, hs_createdate=1702249868003, rating_new__1_5_=5, id=11175342961}, {comment_text=I had some pears that had gone a bit too soft for my liking so I used them along with some apples to make this recipe. In the past I've only ever used rolled out for a crumble topping so it was interesting to use coconut but it turned out well. Only complaint would be that crumbling the dry ingredients with your hands (as the video shows) is extremely messy and the butter will make it hard to clean your hands. I would make again but I wouldn't use my hands to crumble next time., approved=true, user_name=1538211222, hs_createdate=1702249867912, rating_new__1_5_=4, id=11175656302}, {comment_text=Yummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy mummy, approved=true, user_name=Hi my dude, hs_createdate=1702249867771, rating_new__1_5_=5, id=11175572771}, {comment_text=Great easy recipe, approved=true, user_name=Sarah, hs_createdate=1702249867277, rating_new__1_5_=5, id=11175405330}, {comment_text=Great recipe , my husband can also make this one . Method

Preheat oven to 190°C bake / 170ºC fan bake.

In a bowl, mix the flour, oats, coconut, Chelsea Soft Brown Sugar and cinnamon together. Rub in the butter until the mixture is well combined and crumbly.

Peel (optional) and cut apples into wedges. Place in an oven-proof dish (approximately 25cm diameter for a round dish). Drizzle with the Chelsea Golden Syrup.

Spread the crumble mixture over the top of the apples. Sprinkle the Chelsea Raw Sugar or Demerara Sugar over the top for an extra crunchy topping. Bake for 40-45 minutes, or until topping is golden and apples are tender.

Serve while hot with vanilla ice-cream, cream or custard.
