- 1 Tbsp cocoa powder + extra to serve
- pinch of salt
- 1 1/2 Tbsp Chelsea Soft Brown Sugar
- 1 Tbsp butter (15g)
- 2 Tbsp milk (30ml)
- 1 egg
- 1/4 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 Tbsp chocolate chips (optional)

Great recipe. I would recommend putting it in for only 1:15 in the microwave otherwise it is to chewing and hard. Overall this is a great recipe. You only need a few ingredients and the self raising flour really does the job.

Method
Sift flour, cocoa powder and salt into a small bowl. Stir in sugar.
Place butter in a small heatproof jug and microwave until just melted. Add milk, egg and vanilla and whisk with a fork until combined.
Add wet ingredients to dry ingredients and stir until just combined.
Spoon into a mug (at least 300ml capacity). Sprinkle with chocolate chips, if using.
Microwave on high for 70-90 seconds, or until cake has risen and the top is just set. Do no overcook.
Dust with extra cocoa powder and serve immediately.

- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- pinch of salt
