- 1/4 cup self raising flour (35g)
- 1 Tbsp cocoa powder + extra to serve
- pinch of salt
- 1 1/2 Tbsp Chelsea Soft Brown Sugar
- 1 Tbsp butter (15g)
- 2 Tbsp milk (30ml)
- 1 egg
- 1/4 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 Tbsp chocolate chips (optional)

Good mug cake. For those complaining about it being rubbery, dry and other textures, you are probably cooking it for too long. Start off at 1 minute then just until the top loses it's stickiness.

Turned out well. Find it slightly hard to mix it all in, that's probably my fault. Could be sweeter and I only put mine in for 50 seconds. Thank gosh it wasn't rubbery.

Quick and easy and tasty! Perfect just the way it is. Can add choc chips next time if you're feeling fancy.

Method
Sift flour, cocoa powder and salt into a small bowl. Stir in sugar.
Place butter in a small heatproof jug and microwave until just melted. Add milk, egg and vanilla and whisk with a fork until combined.
Add wet ingredients to dry ingredients and stir until just combined.
Spoon into a mug (at least 300ml capacity). Sprinkle with chocolate chips, if using.
Microwave on high for 70-90 seconds, or until cake has risen and the top is just set. Do no overcook.
Dust with extra cocoa powder and serve immediately.

- 2 tablespoons Chelsea Maple Flavoured Syrup
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- pinch of salt

- 2 apples chopped bite size
